    Hello all!

    First time posting…

Do we have to choose a product from above?

If not, I vote for Preserve reusable plastic wear for camping, picnics, or any other outdoor eating! We bought a tube of red forks, knives, and spoons a couple years ago and have been camping with them since!

If so, I would vote for the Merrill Shoes. My husband has been wearing these for the past couple years now, not even knowing they are so environmentally friendly. It makes me not mind buying him a new pair every 6 months (He wears through any shoe that touches his feet within 6 months)! Also, they are stylish, good in summer and winter, and they are extremely comfortable.

Note to the blog host: Could you put a “back to top” link at the bottom of the blog (to re-view products if necessary), or post the “comments” section at the top of the blog (which would be much easier)…had to scroll down for a LONG time to get to the “comments” section to post!!

    Thanks, Tracy

The Nature’s Gate sunscreen gets my vote! I’m in my 50s, but most people mistake me for being in my 30s. While genes have something to do with it, I give a lot of credit to sunscreen, which I’ve used forever — & you are never too young or too old to start using it!

Who needs sunscreen?? Absolutely THE BEST summer gear is a simple summer hat. Before sunscreen, that’s what people would use. And they would dress appropriately (covered skin doesn’t get burnt!). Also, be sensible and limit your exposure- whether you’re using sunscreen or not, on very hot days this is really important if you don’t want to get sunstroke. Those three things are all you need. How people have forgotten this EASY solution I just don’t know. As far as the environment is concerned, this is far better, and it’s a money saver too. The ammount of energy, materials, chemicals, etc. necessary to produce a lifetime supply of sunscreen has got to be huge, whether it’s organic or not. You have to worry about the ingredients and scrutinize all the labels, EVEN the natural and orgainic ones because they still can contain byproducts and traces of dangerous substances such as lead (example: burt’s bee’s lip shimmers), and some substances will degrade over time and convert into something dangerous. And then you have to worry about disposing of or recycling the bottle. I spent $30, a one-time purchase, and got myself a really nice, good looking hat which will last me for YEARS- possibly a lifetime if I treat it carefully. There are so many styles of hats to choose from, you’re bound to find at least one that not only suits you, but actually will make you look good! Mine is a light colored cowbody-hat style which is made out of palm leaves- so it’s natural, sustainable, and the material really keeps your head cool and fresh. Working in the yard here in sunny california is no joke, but I literally feel at least 10 degrees cooler the second I put my hat on. Common sense isn’t common, and a little goes a long way.

I would recommend the Merrell’s. They feel like you have pillows wrapped around your feet. I love the fact that they use recycled materials.

I recommend the Bugband !!I.. actually sampled it from healthandwellness.com and it works!! It doesn’t have deet!!!
You go Bugband…Thanks,We don’t need that on our skin.

I would most definitely vote for the Merrells, as I have been wearing them for about 5 years now, and NOTHING feels as good on my feet as they do… I had no idea that they were also so environmentally friendly, so that is just one more great reason to love these amazing shoes.
