Green Tea Melon Cooler


Green Tea Melon Cooler:

  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 4 green tea bags
  • 3 cups cubed honeydew melon
  • 1 1/2 cups Sweet Simplicity® Simple Syrup
  • Crushed ice
  • Mint leaves
  • Melon slices

Sweet Simplicity® Simple Syrup:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup Sweet Simplicity® sweetener


Sweet Simplicity® Simple Syrup:

  1. Place 2 cups of water and 1 cup of Sweet Simplicity® sweetener in medium saucepan; stir.
  2. Bring mixture to boiling, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat to low.
  4. Simmer uncovered for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and cool.
  6. Cover and refrigerate up to 1 week.
  7. Makes 2 cups.

Green Tea Melon Cooler:

  1. Pour boiling water over tea bags in medium bowl.
  2. Steep 5 minutes; remove tea bags and cool.
  3. For each cooler, place 1 cup cubed melon and 1/2 cup simple syrup in blender container. Blend on high speed until smooth.
  4. Pour melon mixture into tall glass; add 1/2 cup green tea. Fill glass with crushed ice.
  5. Garnish with mint and melon.

Servings: 3 coolers

Tip: Use any type of fresh melon for this cooler – try cantaloupe or watermelon.
