Crispy Cinnamon-Almond French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup organic skim milk
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup lightly crushed organic cornflakes
  • 8 slices Vermont Bread® Cinnamon Swirl Bread
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Directions:

  1. Whisk together first 6 ingredients.
  2. Dip bread slices in milk and egg, then coat them with cornflakes.
  3. Place bread on baking sheet, drizzle with butter, and bake at 450° F until nicely browned.
