Chocolate Dipped Cookie Balls

Courtesy of Mambo’s Shredding Snowbunny.

Prep Time: 45 minutes

Cook Time: 0 minutes

  • 1 package sandwich cremes
  • 1 block cream cheese
  • 1 package chocolate (white or milk chocolate)
  • tbspn. vegetable shortening
  • India Tree Dyes (optional)

  1. Place full package of sandwich cremes in food process and grind until fine crumbs (you can also do this without a food processor). Place in a large bowl and add soften cream cheese.
  2. Using hands, mix crumbs and cream cheese until fully incorporated. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a tray covered in parchment paper.
  3. Place fridge in tray for about 15 minutes to chill balls. While balls are in the fridge, bring water a boil for double boiler and place chocolate chips and vegetable shortening in top and melt. (If using white chocolate, add the dye to the chocolate to make color of your choosing.)
  4. Remove chocolate from heat and remove cookie balls from the fridge. Using a toothpick or similar tool, dip the cookie balls in the chocolate to coat each ball. Place the balls back on the cookie sheet when done dipping. Once the batch is covered in chocolate, return to fridge and allow to harden.
