Oregon Chai Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

Cookies:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Oregon Chai® Concentrate
  • 1/2 cup oat bran flour
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Frosting:

  • 1 – 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. Oregon Chai® Concentrate

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine butter, granulated sugar, egg and 1 Tbsp. Oregon Chai® concentrate. Beat until creamy.
  2. Add flour and baking powder and beat until well blended.
  3. Divide the dough into two pieces, cover and refrigerate until firm (2 – 3 hours or overnight.)
  4. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter.
  6. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 6 – 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Cool completely.
  8. Make frosting by blending powdered sugar, butter and 2 Tbsp. Oregon Chai concentrate.
  9. Beat, adding more Oregon Chai® concentrate until desired consistency.
  10. Drizzle frosting on cooled cookies.

Servings: 6 dozen cookies.
