Italian Crusted Tilapia

  • 4 tilapia fillets ( 6 oz.each)
  • 1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 4 Tbsp. fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. Ian’s Panko Breadcrumbs ( Italian)
  • 1 tsp. olive oil (or olive oil cooking spray)


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. spread olive oil on the bottom of a glass baking dish, ot use olive oil cooking spray to coat the inside of dish.
  2. Place tilapia fillets into baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes.
  3. While fish is baking, stir together mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, oregano, and 1/2 of the Parmesean cheese to make an herb paste.
  4. When the fish has cooked for 10 minutes, spread with herv paste over the top of the fillets, then sprinkle with Ian’s Panko Breadcrumbs (Italian). Continue to bake fish for another 5 minutes until the herb crust is golden brown and bubbly. While still hot, lightly sprinnkle the rest of the Parmesan cheese over the fish to serve. Fish can be placed into the oven for 1 minute more to melt the cheese if desired. Garnish with sprigs of parsley and lemon wedges.
