Swedish Meatballs

Ingredients:

Meatballs:

  • 1 pkg. (12 oz.) Valley’s® Family of Farms® Lean Ground Beef
  • 1/4 cup Organic Valley® Milk
  • 1 pkg. (12 oz.) Organic Valley Family of Farms® Breakfast Sausage
  • 2 Tbsp. dried parsley
  • 1/2 cup onion, minced
  • 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 – 1/2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Organic Valley® egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Sauce:

  • 3/4 cup Organic Valley® Sour Cream
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breakfast sausage, onion, bread crumbs, milk, beaten egg, apple cider vinegar and parsley.
  2. Chill thoroughly.
  3. Form into golf ball sized meatballs and fry in olive oil till browned.
  4. Bake alternative: Bake until brown in oven at 350° F; keep sauce separate.
  5. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Reduce heat.
  6. Slowly add sour cream, paprika, and salt.
  7. Pour over meatballs in skillet (if frying). Stir occasionally until heated through.
