New England Maple Bacon Cheddar Burger

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. ground beef, turkey or meat substitute
  • 1 tsp. Jane’s Krazy Mixed Up Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
  • 9-10 slices thick cut bacon or veggie bacon
  • 8 oz. shredded Vermont cheddar cheese
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Directions:

  1. Fry bacon until crisp; crumble.
  2. Combine beef, turkey or meat substitute, salt, pepper and crumbled bacon. Shape into 8 patties.
  3. In a small bowl, microwave butter until melted.
  4. Add maple syrup and stir until well blended.
  5. Brush mixture onto inside of buns.
  6. Grill or broil burgers for 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Add shredded cheddar cheese during last few minutes of cooking.
  8. Grill buns for 2 or 3 minutes, until brown and crispy.
  9. Serve & enjoy!
